Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Crewport ("Crewport") handles information for Crewport Car Share.
1. Information we collect
- Account & eligibility: first and last name, work email (for one-time eligibility verification), personal email (login and notifications), phone number, employee number, and home airport.
- Listings & bookings: vehicle details, parking location and notes, pricing and requirements, reservation dates, and your payment handles (e.g., Venmo/PayPal usernames) so other users can pay you directly.
- Return location: when a borrower marks a vehicle returned, we collect the device's geolocation and timestamp to confirm where the vehicle was left.
- Technical: basic usage and device/log data needed to operate and secure the Platform.
We do not collect or store payment card or bank-account data, because payments occur directly between users through third-party apps.
2. How we use information
To verify eligibility; operate the Platform and facilitate bookings; send transactional emails (verification, booking notifications); provide support; and maintain safety, security, and legal compliance.
3. How information is shared
- With other users, only as needed for a booking: on a confirmed reservation, the host sees the borrower's name and employee number; the borrower sees the host's name, vehicle, and parking location.
- With service providers that run the Platform on our behalf (e.g., hosting and database, and our email provider), under obligations to protect it.
- For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Payment information
Payments are made directly between users via third-party services. Those services handle payment data under their own privacy policies; Crewport does not receive it.
5. Location data
Return-location data is used to confirm vehicle drop-off and is associated with the relevant reservation.
6. Cookies and sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising trackers.
7. Retention
We keep information as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. [Specify periods with counsel.]
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure.
9. Your choices
You may access or request deletion of your information by contacting us at support@crewport.co. Closing your account stops further use except as required by law.
10. Children
The Platform is for adults (18+) only and is not directed to children.
