Liability Waiver, Release & Assumption of Risk
Acknowledged at signup and re-acknowledged at each booking.
Effective date: June 9, 2026
By using Crewport Car Share, you ("you") agree to this Waiver with Crewport ("Crewport").
1. Crewport is only a facilitator
You acknowledge that Crewport is a neutral platform that introduces pilots to one another. Crewport does not own, operate, inspect, insure, or control any vehicle and is not a party to any arrangement between a host and a borrower.
2. Assumption of risk
You understand that sharing, lending, driving, riding in, or otherwise dealing with vehicles and other users involves inherent risks, including property damage, theft, mechanical failure, accident, serious bodily injury, and death. You voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown.
3. No insurance — your responsibility
You acknowledge that Crewport provides no insurance. You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance and for confirming that your participation is permitted by your insurance, your employer's and union's policies, and applicable airport, parking-facility, and legal requirements.
4. Payments are between users
You acknowledge that any payment for vehicle use is made directly between you and the other user through third-party services, and that Crewport does not process, hold, or guarantee those funds and is not responsible for any payment dispute.
5. Release, waiver & indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Crewport and its owners, officers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, or liability arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, any vehicle, or your dealings with any other user — including claims based on negligence to the extent allowed by law — and you further agree to indemnify and hold them harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your participation.
6. Host-specific acknowledgment
If you list a vehicle, you authorize its use by other verified users, confirm it is safe and properly insured and registered, and accept the risks of allowing others to use it.
7. Borrower-specific acknowledgment
If you use a vehicle, you accept full responsibility for it during your reservation, agree to operate it lawfully and return it as agreed, and accept responsibility for any damage, violation, or loss occurring during your use.
8. Acknowledgment
By checking the acceptance box, you confirm that you have read and understood this Waiver, that you are entering it knowingly and voluntarily, and that it is binding to the fullest extent permitted by the law of Tennessee.
