Per-Trip Use Agreement
Accepted by the borrower each time they request to borrow a car.
Effective date: June 9, 2026
This agreement is between the owner (the pilot sharing the car) and the borrower (the pilot using it) for one specific trip. Crewport Car Share is only the tool that connects them; it is not a party to this agreement, does not own or insure the car, and never handles any money.
1. Care & responsibility
The borrower takes responsibility for the car from pickup until it is returned, agrees to operate it lawfully and carefully, and is responsible for any loss, damage, citations, tolls, or fines that occur during their use.
2. The owner's conditions
The borrower agrees to follow the conditions the owner set on the listing — for example fuel level on return, any mileage limit, local-use-only, no-smoking, and the agreed return time — as shown on the booking.
3. Condition at handoff
Both pilots are encouraged to document the car's condition with photos and a quick checklist at pickup and at return. That shared record is how condition questions are resolved.
4. Damage & deposit
Any damage is settled directly between the two pilots. If the owner set a refundable damage deposit, the borrower sends it to the owner directly (e.g. via Venmo) and the owner returns it after a clean return. Crewport Car Share does not hold, process, or arbitrate deposits or damage claims.
5. Indemnification
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the borrower agrees to indemnify and hold the owner harmless from claims arising out of the borrower's use of the car during the trip. (Final indemnification language to be provided by counsel.)
By requesting a booking, the borrower confirms they have read and accept this Per-Trip Use Agreement together with the Crewport Car Share Terms and Waiver.
